Mission

The Forensic Analysis is an interactive graph of the Risk Analytics application, a complex interface for banking fraud analysts. As a UX designer, I conducted a lot of research to understand the user investigation process. I discovered this tool allowing users to make correlations between different elements and thus identify suspicious connections or unusual behavior. However, this very unintuitive tool is not or little used by analysts.

Audit of the current experience

01 : An extract from the report relating to the investigation process and the usability of the chart.

Exploration

02-05 : Running a brainstorming workshop with the UX team | 06 : First design concept.

Prototyping

07 – 08 : Prototype built with Invision

I adapted the concept to the business requirements and added the information that was missing from the first concept. The users can now change the focus of interest, explore each event in more detail and save a snapshot
to prevent themselves from getting lost while investigating.

It’s powerful. I like that you visualize here the full history of the customer. It gives a better understanding. Today in our solution, we have to do that in our mind.
